ABOUT JODI
I was born and raised in Calgary Alberta. I was one of three children, and I was a twin.
When I was young, I always knew what my sister was thinking, but just thought that was normal between twins. To be honest, I didn’t even give it much thought. I just knew that I knew what she was thinking!
While I haven’t always been able to hear spirit, I have always been highly intuitive, and often would be given warnings, but I didn’t always listen! Matter of fact, most of the time I was fairly dismissive of any information that I received, not realizing it was my spirit guides trying to guide me.
I’ve always known things before they have occurred. Again, I never thought much about it though, and always just assumed it was coincidental. However, as I have gotten older, I have learned to listen to warnings, and heed advice. Spirit never leads me astray and always seems to be right.
I can often sense people’s intentions good or bad and now more than ever, I know that it is my spirit guides gently sharing advice with me.
I have lost numerous relatives over the years, and often they show up to support me. Sometimes by showing me their apparitions, other times they will coax a butterfly to land on me, (and of course, I will know that the butterfly will land on me even before it does) and sometimes they play with electricity, lights, fireplace, radio, AC/ heat in my car, etc. and it’s a new car…. So, it’s not broken! Often, I will smell cigarettes in my car while driving, (I’m not a smoker, nor is my husband or children), so it’s just my dad popping in to say hi from the other side. He often sits with me on my drive to work.
I see apparitions, generally at night in my bedroom. They love to come to me as I am trying to sleep, and they also really love to wake me up! These are apparitions of souls that have transitioned and are not related to me. They are definitely trying to get my attention.
For all of the reasons above I started to explore mediumship as I have had too many events happen for all of it to be just coincidental. What I have found is the more that I open my heart and mind, the more that I can see, hear, smell, taste, and sense from spirit. Each, and every day, I learn something new from spirit, and I love the journey I am on!
HOW SPIRITS COMMUNICATE WITH ME
Talking with spirit isn’t the same as talking with people. Spirit is really quiet, and they will give me bits and pieces of information in many different ways. I like to say that is like a game of charades. I have to decipher what they are telling me through images, words, feelings, smells and taste. Sometimes they will give me the whole picture with just implanting all of the information all at once, (this is called clear knowing!) But most of the time for me, I have to piece together everything, one piece at a time.
So, it all comes down to how well I have interpreted what they have given me. Sometimes it can be difficult to articulate their exact feelings, but they try really hard to get their thoughts across using many different communication styles. What I like to say is that I am the tool, and my job is to decipher the message while the sitter, (that’s you!) has to be able to place the information. The more open a sitter is, the more information spirit will share, and the easier communication will be. So please remember to be open and ready to receive!
